Wilson National is actively making changes to reduce our impact on the environment as well as our carbon emissions. Our Communications Director Gordon Watson, has become the green champion of our business introducing, coordinating, and managing the companies response to this important challenge.

Wilson National became carbon neutral in June 2007 and was officially recognised by the then Minister for the Environment Mr Malcolm Turnbull MP. Wilson National has adopted a policy of reuse, reduce, and offset in the workplace with a view to maintaining our carbon neutral status. all Wilson National lending products are carbon neutral Wilson National undertake the flowing initiatives:

Recycling in the workplace
The use of low energy light bulbs
Conducted an insulation audit and installed insulation in the Wilson National building
Set airconditioning to 23 degrees celius
Adopted a switch off policy - if you are not using it turn it off
The purchase of lower carbon emitting vehicles for senior staff, including the Honda Hybrid
Carbon offset through the Carbon Reduction Institute
Education through onsite communications material
The purchase of green energy from ActewAGL and their GreenChoice Program.
Ongoing support for Clean Up Australia Day - Currumbin Estuary
Ongoing support for Earth Hour
Current member of EnviroIndustry
Use recycled water for outside use and watering of the native gardens surrounding the building.
