Queensland first and second in Australia

Wilson National Home Loans has become the first Queensland based home loan lender and the second nationally to become carbon neutral, and we will celebrate with a morning tea later this month where we will officially celebrate this milestone.

Providing a true green home loan is about best practice and providing customers a choice according to Wilson National Managing Director Geoff Wilson.

"According to Australian of the Year Tim Flannery and other leading scientists, Australian's need to reduce their CO2 emissions by 70% on 1990 levels, and by Wilson National becoming carbon neutral we are providing customers with a green home loan which makes a positive contribution to climate change. We are passionate about giving our customers and our communities the best outcomes and creating a true green home loan is just another way we can do achieve this," Geoff says.

Wilson National Home Loans has under gone a lengthy audit to achieve a carbon neutral status. The company that conducted the audit was the Carbon Reduction Institute, a nationally recogised company assisting companies of all sizes reduce and eliminate their carbon emissions.

The initial audit is followed up by regular and impromptu audits to ensure as Wilson Nation Home Loans grows and new products are added, that all CO2 emissions are registered and accounted for.
